Diabetes Educators, American Association of

Diabetes Educators, American Association of American Association of Diabetes Educators Education & Research Foundation (AADE) is a multidisciplinary professional membership organization of healthcare professionals dedicated to integrating successful self-management as a key outcome in the care of people with diabetes and related conditions. AADE goals are to advance and promote evidence-based diabetes self-management education and practice; set the scope and direction for the practice of diabetes education; provide opportunities for its members and the broader healthcare community to advance their skills and career goals; advance diabetes education as central to quality diabetes care and prevention; advocate for public policy to improve access to services, supplies and care for those with diabetes or for those at risk for diabetes and related conditions; and continue to enhance the effective and efficient operation of its member-driven organization.

We are committed to funding ongoing research as part of our overall objective to manage diabetes. Our Sigma Theta Tau International Grant is one of many grants we award to diabetes research. Grants range from $6,000 to $150,000 depending on available funding. Through private and public support, we have been able to meet our award goals and continue to seek ways to expand research opportunities for those seeking treatment breakthroughs and effective avenues of prevention.
